OCIA... Order of Christian Initiation of Adults
Order of Christian Initiation of Adults: A process for adults to become Catholic and receive the sacraments of initiation, which include Baptism, Confirmation, and the Eucharist. OCIA was previously known as the Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA). The name was changed and approved by the Holy See in early 2024 to be used in December of 2024.
These following individuals are on their journey, here at Sts. Mary and John Parish, to become full members of the Catholic Church at the Easter Vigil. Please keep them in prayer!
Catechumens: Bradley Castillo, Paxton Stone, Abraham Palacios, Tiffany Palacios
Candidates: Noell Bockhorst, Zane Clodfelter, Der'rik Hardin, Penny Goshert, Samuel Shafer

*Catechumen is an unbaptized person.
*Candidate a person who was baptized in another Christian church but who is uncatechized in the Catholic faith. All are seeking to learn about becoming Catholic through a gradual process of faith formation.
