Weekly Announcements

July 3, 2025 - 6:30pm
Good evening. This weekend we celebrate the fourteenth Sunday in Ordinary time where we are reminded to work in the vineyard to bring many to Christ. July 4 Mass time will be at 9 am with Confessions at 8:30 am and Adoration starting at 8 am. The Parish and Food Pantry will be closed Friday but reopen on Monday at its normal times. This weekend we will have our second collection for alms and anointing of the sick after Mass. Just a reminder to save the date for Saturday, September 20 after 4 pm we will have our Parish Picnic. There will be a Parish Picnic planning meeting Wednesday, July 9 at 6 pm in the Ministry Center on the first floor. All are welcome. Building and Grounds will meet Thursday, July 10 at 6 pm. All are welcome. If any of you are having trouble with getting your pictures in the pictorial directory please contact Lee at the parish office. We pray in thanksgiving for all the freedoms that we enjoy in our country and those who have made this possible. We also pray for safety this weekend and for those affected by the heat. Good evening. This weekend we celebrate Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul who are the Prince of the Apostles and the Apostle to the Gentiles. Parish Offices and Food Pantry will close on Thursday, July 3 at noon and reopen Monday, July 7 at their normal times. Building and Grounds will meet on Thursday, July 10 at 6 pm. Southwestern Indiana Right to Life banquet will take place Thursday, August 14 at the Old National Events Center. Jan Hoffman is putting a table together for our parish, so if you would like to seat with other parishioners contact the parish office. More information is in the bulletin. We pray for the gift of our freedoms in this country and those who fought to give us these freedoms. We pray for the homeless and those affected by the heat along with praying for cooler weather. Good evening. This weekend we celebrate Corpus Christi or the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, where we remember the most precious gift of our faith, the Holy Eucharist. We will have a Corpus Christi procession at the end of the 10 am Mass this Sunday. I invite you are all to walk with the Blessed Sacrament out of Church at the end of Mass and process around the parking lot and then back into Church and end in with prayer. We will show our faith and adoration for the Eucharist with song and prayer. You will be able to hear in Church if you decide to remain in Church during the procession until we return to Church. There will be a meeting concerning Habitat for Humanity at Ascension St. Vincent Manor Auditorium on Tuesday, June 24 from 7:30 am to 9 am. Keynote speaker will be Abraham Brown who is director of Latino Ministry in the area. The parish office and food pantry will close at noon on Thursday, July 3 and reopen Monday, July 7 in the morning. Mass on July 4 will be at 9 with adoration at 8 am and confessions at 8:30.
