April 16, 2026 - 6:30pm
Good evening. This weekend we celebrate the Third Sunday of Easter and also Mass of Creation at all weekend Masses. As part of Creation Care Masses, as you enter Church you will be given a paper to ask what is your happy place in nature and what is a gift of creation for which you are especially grateful? You can leave them at boxes as you leave Church. Creation Care t-shirts will be sold after Mass in the hallway. After the 10 am Mass on Sunday we will have Coffee and Dougnuts along with a reception to welcome Deacon John McMullen and his wife Mary Grace to the parish. Please take a moment to welcome them. May 1 and 2 will have an alms second collection and anointing of the sick after Mass. Please pray for Chase Riecker and Nathan Folz who were ordained transitional deacons this weekend. Please pray for our kids who will be making their First Communion Retreat this weekend and as we plan implementing changes for Confirmation that the Diocese has requested. Finally we pray for those who are sick in our parish and for peace in our world. Thank you for all you do for our parish. May God bless your weekend.
April 2, 2026 - 6:30pm
Good evening. Today we remember Jesus instituting the Holy Eucharist and the Order of Priesthood at 7 pm. There will be time for adoration starting at around 8 pm in Rager Hall until 9:30 pm. Good Friday we will have Confessions available starting at 2:30 pm with Stations of the Cross at 3 pm. At the service at 7 pm, we remember Jesus suffering the cruelest form of death, Crucifixtion, for our sins. Easter we give thanks for the greatest gift Christ could give, the Resurrection. The Masses for Easter Sunday are at 7:30 am and 10 am. There will be no Mass Easter Sunday night at 4 pm this weekend. We also welcome into the Church at the Easter Vigil, which starts at 8 pm this Saturday, seven new members followed by a brief reception for them in Rager Hall. Please pray for them. The offices and food pantry will be closed this Friday through Monday. Divine Mercy Sunday will take place April 11 and 12. We pray for all those gathering as families this Easter and for all those who are sick. May God restore them to health. We pray for peace in our world. Thank you for all do for our parish. Good evening. This weekend we celebrate the beginning of Holy Week on Palm Sunday where Jesus enters Jerusalem. Saturday night Mass and Sunday morning Mass will begin at the oak tree with Sunday at 4 pm in the space between Rager Hall and the Church. Stations of the Cross will be this Friday at 5:30 pm. Chrism Mass will be this coming Tuesday at 5:30 pm at St Benedict Cathedral. There will be no Mass at Sts. Mary and John next Tuesday. Church cleaning will be Wednesday, April 1 from 9 am to 11:30 am. All are welcome. Holy Thursday and Good Friday services will be at 7 pm. Good Friday will also feature Confessions starting at 2:30 pm and Stations of the Cross at 3 pm. Good Friday and Easter Monday the offices and food pantry will be closed. The Easter Vigil will take place Saturday, April 4 at 8 pm with the Service Light beginning on the north side of Church. Easter Sunday Mass schedule is Sunday, April 5 at 7:30 am and 10 am. There will be no Mass Sunday, April 6 at 4 pm. Alms collection will take place Saturday, April 11 and Sunday at 12. There will be no anointing that weekend because I will be out of town. We pray for all the elect who are becoming Catholic in our parish, diocese and world. Our elect our in the bulletin. We pray for an end to violent conflicts in our world, country and area.
