St. Vincent de Paul…
Thank you for helping our neighbors in need to continue to receive electricity and water as well as a place to live.
Due to poorly insulated homes, the people St. Vincent de Paul visits often have high utility bills. We tell them we can help but not pay the whole bill. They usually say “That’s okay. I’m grateful for whatever you can do.” And then these neighbors often tell us “God bless you” as we leave their homes.
I doubt they realize that they themselves are blessings from God to us. Many of our neighbors express their trust in God and their experiences of God’s presence in their lives. In a spiritual sense sometimes we ministers “want what they’ve got.”
Thank you for your support of our parish’s St. Vincent de Paul ministry. Your support is a blessing for our neighbors who live in poverty. And we ministers are blessed by the people we serve.
