The Food Pantry opened its doors more than 20 years ago, when we began to realize the great need for a means to provide food for the hungry in downtown Evansville. We began by assisting a few families each month.
Since then, the Food Pantry has grown tremendously, now assisting more than 250 households per month. Besides filling food orders for those clients we serve, we also open the door and greet with a friendly face all those who come to our door. Food Pantry Hours Monday-Thursday: 9am-12pm (Closed Noon-1pm) Monday, Tuesday and Thursday: 1pm-3 pm. Volunteers work one morning or afternoon shift a week, every other week, once a month or whatever works with their schedule.
