Good evening. This weekend we celebrate the 3rd weekend of Easter where Jesus appears to His followers again. This weekend Deacon Tom will continue his talk on the seven sorrows of Mary after the 10 am Mass in Rager Hall. There will be the Dominican Mass at 8 am this Sunday. Thursday, May 2 at 6:30 pm Jeremy Goebel, Director of Youth Ministry for our Diocese, will give a talk on the unfathomable mercy of God with Sacrament of Reconciliation and Adoration following. We pray for favorable weather for gardeners and farmers and all those dealing with illness in our parish and community. I want to thank all those who helped to make our Holy Week Liturgies so special: Deacon Dennis and Tom, Marie, the staff, Tina, the choir, cantors, musicians, lectors, servers, catechists for RCIA, those who decorated, and those who provided a reception for those who came into the Church. We welcome our newest members who came into the Church at the Easter Vigil. Thank you for all you do for our parish. May God bless your weekend.
April 4, 2024 - 6:30pm
Good evening. This weekend we celebrate the second Sunday of Easter also known as Divine Mercy Sunday where Jesus offers His peace through the Sacrament of Reconciliation. To receive plenary indulgence and removal from temporal punishment one has to go to Confession within twenty days of Divine Mercy Sunday, pray one Our Father, recite the Creed, receive the Eucharist, pray for the intentions of the Holy Father and say one heart felt prayer to Jesus. Children's Liturgy of the Word returns this Sunday at the 10 am Mass. The office and food pantry will be closed Monday, April 8 and Mass that day will be at 8 am with adoration beginning at 7 am and Confessions at 7:30. Sts. Mary and John parking lot will be available to park for $10 a space from 9 am to 4 pm on Monday, April 8 to watch the eclipse and other events on the riverfront. If you are interested in helping with parking contact Fr. Eugene. Deacon Tom's presentation on the seven sorrows of Mary will be Sunday, April 14 after the 10 am Mass in Rager Hall. If you receive a text, email or phone call from me asking for gift cards or money this is a scam going around parishes. I will never text you asking for money. Please delete it and report to the parish office. We pray for all those affected by the storms and are still without power. Thank you for all you do. May God bless your weekend.
